CRUDE travels to South America, where it investigates the mammoth "Amazon Chernobyl" case from a variety of angles, refusing to take the side of any single person or side. Though it is a non-fiction documentary in form, Berlinger’s film has the pull of a legal drama where human life and the environment are at stake.
